JOHANNESBURG – Allegations of racism in schools is once again tarnishing the education sector.

Pinelands High School pupils have been suspended after a video of an enacted ‘slave auction’ emerged.

Earlier this month, 12 pupils at Pretoria Girls High School were suspended.

They had allegedly made racist comments against their black classmates in a WhatsApp group.

Director of the Free Speech Union of South Africa at the Institute of Race Relations, Sara Gon, discusses this further.
