The Lagos State Police Command has deployed operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) to the Third Mainland Bridge (3MB) to provide round-the-clock protection for both road users as well as as the newly renovated infrastructure.
The commencement of a 24 hour bike patrol of the Third Mainland Bridge was disclosed on Monday in a statement posted to the X handle on RRS.
“The Commander Rapid Response Squad (RRS), CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has directed the squad’s Bike Riders to commence a 24 hour patrol of the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos as a way of protecting the infrastructure on the bridge as well as prevent incidence of harassment of road users by miscreants.
CNG Vehicles : Minister Of Petroleum Resources (Gas) Visits IVM Plant, Commends CEO’s Ingenuity
The Minister of Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperike Ekpo, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, at the IVM factory in Nnewi, Anambra State.
During the visit, Innoson boss led the Minister and his entourage on a tour of the facility, showcasing ongoing vehicle manufacturing processes as well as new CNG plant which he said can produce over 30,000 buses per annum.
The Minister expressed his admiration for Innoson boss’s ingenuity in producing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicleswhich he said aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to replace petrol cars with CNG vehicles.
Prices Of Petrol In April 2024 Compared To April 2023, States And Regions That Paid More : NBS
The average retail price paid by consumers for Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) during the month of April 2024 was N701.24, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) .
This represents an increase of 0.64% compared to the N696.79 recorded a month earlier in March 2024 and 176.02% when compared to the N254.06 recorded in April 2023, the latter before fuel subsidy removal.
At N797.78 (not N767.78), Kogi State had the highest average retail price for petrol on the State profile analysis, followed by Nasarawa and Zamfara States with N778.89 and N754.29, respectively.
Nigerian States that had the lowest average retail prices for Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) were Lagos, Niger and Ogun, with N602.55, N633.75 and N647.14 respectively.
Lagos-based Nord Motion Delivers 120 Battery-powered Tricycles For “Electric Tricycle Project For Women” In Kano
Sterling Bank-backed Qore Mobility, in partnership with gender-based Mata Zalla and Yar Baiwa Cooperative Societies, has launched 120 battery-powered tricycles for the exclusive use of women transporters in Kano state.
In addition to empowering female riders in Kano state, Qore Mobility’s initiative focuses on accelerating the adoption of cleaner, safer and more sustainable transportation in the State.
The start of delivery of the electric tricycles was made known by Mr. Oluwatobi Ajayi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nord Automobiles, who was at the event held at Meena Events Center in Kano State on Tuesday May 21st.
According to Oluwatobi Ajayi, the 120 battery-powered tricycles, popularly known as Keke Marwa and Keke NAPEP, were assembled by Nord Automobiles in Kano State.
