A new 55-ton excavator from KOBELCO combines advanced technology, efficiency, and durability to create a machine that can provide productivity and performance.
The SK520LC-11 excavator has an operating weight of approximately 121,000 pounds, a bucket digging force of 72,200 pounds, and a lifting capacity of 46,540 pounds, even while minimizing fuel consumption. Powered by a 463-hp Tier 4 Final Isuzu 6WG1 engine, the machine Is designed to handle tough applications.
Advanced hydraulic design includes “Independent Travel,” a KOBELCO exclusive, which enables the SK520 to move, lift, and swing simultaneously without experiencing loss of power. An optional counterweight removal system reduces costs of transportation and makes it easier to move from site to site.
Technology advancements include energy-saving modes and automatic idle shutdown that contribute to lower fuel consumption and emissions. These and other tools can be set using the large 10-inch colour monitor, which provides the operator with information needed to ensure safety and machine control.
In the cab, ergonomics has been kept in mind to help reduce operator fatigue while providing good visibility. User-friendly controls and advanced monitoring systems further enhance the operating experience, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site. Standard features include a heated air ride 7-way adjustable suspension seat, multi vent air conditioner, radio with USB, AUX, and Bluetooth capabilities, ergonomic adjustable pilot control levers, plus rear view and right side cameras for safer operation.
