Boko Haram: Soldiers nab terrorist father, son, 2 others in Yobe

Soldiers on internal security operations in Yobe State, have arrested four suspected Boko Haram terrorists at Kurnari and Nayinawa villages on the outskirts of Damaturu, the state capital.
The suspects, among them Muhammadu Damina, 40,  and his 15-year-old son, Isah Muhammadu, alongside Bukar Waziri, 25, and  Mammade Lawan, 20, were said to have been arrested by troops of 233 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade of Operation LAFIYA DOLE in conjunction with vigilante groups on routine patrol.
The terrorists, who were said to be on the run, were spotted by the soldiers who were on patrol of the area told the soldiers upon their arrest that they were from Buk and Talala villages, respectively.
A statement by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman says, “During preliminary investigation, they claimed that they were fleeing from the terrorists’ hideout at Talala and Buk in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State because of the unbearable military’s onslaughts and bombardments on their various locations”.
He also said troops of 33 Brigade on Operation FOREST KUNAMA II, arrested a robbery suspect, Salisu Ibrahim, along Bauchi-Gombe road, adding that the terrorists and robbery suspects were undergoing further investigation by military authorities.
