The government of Bauchi State has donated the sum of N250m to assist with relief and rebuilding efforts following the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, the state capital capital.

The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed announced the donation when he paid a condolence visit on Governor Babagana Zulum and the people of Borno State on Monday.

He expressed sympathy to the people of Borno and praised their resilience during the visit.

According to Governor Mohammed, during the visit, he held a discussion with Governor Zulum about regional cooperation on environmental challenges and disaster preparedness.

“Governor Zulum thanked me for the timely assistance, emphasizing the importance of unity between states in addressing crises” the governor tweeted on his X handle.

“This visit reinforced the bond between Bauchi and Borno states.”
