The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, MACBAN President Baba Othman-Ngelzarma emphasized that the establishment of the ministry is poised to unlock the potential of Nigeria’s trillion-dollar livestock industry.

“With this development, MACBAN believes, the hope of the Nigerian pastoralists is now achieved under the Renew Hope Agenda,” Othman-Ngelzarma stated.

“The promise made by President Tinubu, to raise the productive capacity of Nigerian agriculture to ensure food security is being fulfilled,” he added.

Othman-Ngelzarma further noted that MACBAN had long advocated for a dedicated ministry to modernize livestock production systems in line with global best practices.

“On behalf of the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees of MACBAN, his Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the entire membership of the Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria across the nation, we heartily congratulate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces for this wonderful development,” he stated.
