International Game Technology (IGT) announced that its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporationhas signed a new contract with Holy House of Mercy of Lisbon (SCML), one of the provider’s longtime partners.
IGT Will Supply the Portuguese Lottery with Top-Tier Products
According to IGT’s official announcement, IGT Global Solutions Corporation has penned a three-year primary instant ticket printing and related services agreement with Portugal’s national lottery. IGT noted that this contract was awarded following a competitive procurement.
As per the deal, IGT will provide SCML with access to its instant ticket content and innovations portfolio. As a result, the latter company will be able to access multiple world-class games. Additionally, SCML will benefit from IGT’s marketing services, game development and analytics.
This new agreement expands the existing relationship between IGT and SCML. The provider has served as the Portuguese national lottery’s tech provider since 2000 and supplied it with retail central system hardware, software, terminal maintenance and field services.
IGT Is Looking Forward to Continuing Its Partnership with SCML
IGT’s chief operating officer of global lottery, Jay Gendroncommented on the matter, praising the continued relationship between the two companies. He explained that the longtime partnership with SCML and IGT’s extensive knowledge of the Portuguese market will enable his team to work closely with the lottery to offer world-class instant ticket experiences tailored to the needs of the local players.
Gendron added that he is looking forward to working with the SCML and supplying cutting-edge content to lottery players in Portugal.

IGT, for context, is one of the biggest suppliers in the lottery industry and provides technology to 26 of the 46 lotteries in the United States. IGT is furthermore the primary tech supplier of 8 of the top 10 largest lotteries in the world.
Speaking of IGT, the company recently selected Nick Khin as its new president of Global Gaming. In this new elevated role, the newly-promoted specialist will be in charge of managing IGT’s Global Gaming business unit.
Several weeks ago, IGT also published its Q2 results, highlighting strong performance ahead of the sale of its Gaming and Digital division.
