Adamson stated that the consensus candidates emerged after careful deliberation and agreement among the party’s stakeholders.
In addition to the chairmanship candidates, Adamson announced that the party’s councillorship candidates for the 147 electoral wards across the state were also selected through consensus.
APC State Chairman Aliyu Bello received the report and praised the committee members for their hard work and commitment to completing the assignment on time.
Bello expressed confidence in the quality of the selected candidates and predicted victory for the party in all the local government areas.
The APC had agreed, during a stakeholders’ meeting held on October 7, to adopt the consensus method for selecting candidates for both the chairmanship and councillorship positions in the LGAs and electoral wards.
The primaries were held on October 14 and 16, respectively.
