In the Late Show clip above Stephen Colbert goes through the latest ones, from Matt Gaetz being named attorney general (“next year the Justice Department is implementing a new ‘Take your daughter far away from work’ day,” says Colbert), to “MAGA minion and Cruella da Village Idiot” Tulsi Gabbard as national intelligence director.
Colbert then moves on to Trump’s defence secretary pick: Fox News host Pete Hegseth, who said on TV back in 2019 that he hadn’t washed his hands “for 10 years”adding about germs: “I can’t see them, therefore they’re not real.”
