The Pitt
Max has released a first-look photo from its new medical drama “The Pitt” starring and executive-produced by Noah Wyle. Fellow “ER” vets John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill are executive producing.
Wyle plays Dr. Michael Robinavitch (aka Dr. Robby) in the series about the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh. Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Isa Briones, Taylor Dearden, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez, and Katherine LaNasa co-star. [Source: Max]
A Different World
Netflix is reportedly working on a single-cam, half-hour comedy series that serves as a sequel to the 1980s sitcom and “Cosby Show” spin-off “A Different World”.
The series would reportedly follow the daughter of Whitley Gilbert (Jasmine Guy) and Dwayne Wayne (Kadeem Hardison) from the original series. Said daughter is now attending Hillman College – the same school as the original show.[Source:[Source:Deadline]
Brilliant Minds
NBC has released the official trailer for its newest medical drama “Brilliant Minds” starring Emmy nominee Zachary Quinto as the eccentric and larger-than-life neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf.
Wolf and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier – the human mind – while also grappling with their own relationships and mental health. The series makes its debut on Monday, September 23rd and will stream the next day on Peacock.
American Sports Story
FX has premiered the teaser trailer for ”American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,” the ten-episode first season of the Ryan Murphy-produced anthology series which debuts on FX on September 17th.
Based on several podcasts, it charts the rise and fall of NFL star and New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (Josh Rivera). The show explores his identity and family, his career, and, ultimately, his suicide and overall legacy.
Adam Sandler: Love You
Netflix has released the trailer for “Adam Sandler: Love You,” the actor/comedian’s new stand-up comedy special which has been directed by Josh Safdie (“Uncut Gems”). It will premiere globally on Netflix on August 27th and marks Sandler’s second Netflix comedy special following 2018’s “100% Fresh”.
