The hits keep coming. With their latest loss, the Dallas Cowboys fall to 3-5. Against the Atlanta Falcons, they suffered a loss that would impact them more than last week’s win column. Dak Prescott injured his hamstring against the Falcons, which will keep him off the field for some time. Although Prescott attempted to return to the field, the injury was deemed too significant. Jerry Jones hinted that Prescott will be placed on injured reserve, but at the least will miss a few games.
If the Cowboys have any shot to get back in the playoff race, several players will have to step up in his absence. That starts with getting some of their players back from injury, like DaRon Bland and Micah Parsons. After Wednesday’s practice, here is where the Cowboys stand regarding injuries.
It’s a rough start to the week. The good news is Micah Parsons (ankle) worked into team activities and was limited today. He had previously been working off to the side with the training staff, but today is the first time he has taken part in practice since his injury. Parsons had this to say regarding his recovery.
Micah Parsons said his chances of playing Sunday are high. He said he is going full speed in practice but he needs to practice in full pads. “I just got to get the feel of the rush. I feel like I’m starting all over.” Parsons didn’t think he’d be out this long. “I’m just happy to… pic.twitter.com/vMseF15TLY

CeeDee Lamb was visibly uncomfortable after falling on his shoulder but did manage to practice today albeit limited. Tyler Guyton (neck/shoulder) and Trevon Diggs (calf) were also limited. The bad news is that the Cowboys listed several of their players as DNP Wednesday. Dak Prescott and DaRon Bland (foot) were not practicing. Bland practiced before the bye but appears to have suffered a setback and has not returned to practice since.
Safety Juanyeh Thomas did not practice and is in concussion protocol. Zack Martin, also having a shoulder injury, was withheld from practice. Eric Kendricks missed practice (shoulder). Additionally, Brandin Cooks has not been activated from injured reserve but was seen working in the rehab group with Bland.
Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver A.J. Brown did practice on Wednesday. Brown sustained a knee injury in their win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team has said that Brown is thought to be day-to-day. Meanwhile, Darius Slay (groin) and Jalen Hurts (knee) were given a lighter workload. All of them were limited. Tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) was a full participant and Devonta Smith did not practice today with a hamstring injury of his own.
