The Deputy Speaker, Abia Dwelling of Assembly, Austin Meregini, has described the death of Ogbonaya Onu, a former Minister of Science and Technology as devastating.
Meregini made this known on Thursday.
Onu, a former chairman of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Social gathering(ANPP) and former Abia governor, died on Thursday in Abuja at 72.
The Abia deputy speaker acknowledged the slack Onu used to be an unassuming politician, who used to be dedicated to the Nigerian mission.
Meregini added that Onu shall be sorely ignored by the Igbo trek, Nigeria and humanity, for the full definite issues he represented.
He used to be a uncommon gem, he used to be any individual we can have simplest once in a generation. He used to be a easy gentleman and he used to be unassuming.
The Igbo trek will circulate over him, Nigeria will circulate over him and humanity will circulate over him. He’ll be sorely ignored by all,” he acknowledged.
