Technology tamfitronics Saudi, Chinese Companies Carry out Test Trial of Unmanned Air Taxi in Saudi Arabia

Front End Limited Company, a Saudi firm specializing in integrating advanced technology across various sectors, and EHanga Chinese autonomous aerial vehicle technology platform company carried out a successful test trial of the first unmanned air taxi in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.

Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia, said, “The trial marks a major advancement in integrating Advanced Air Mobility solutions into Saudi Arabia’s aviation landscape.”

The trial aims to enhance travel speed and promote sustainability.

Similarly, Saudi Airlines launched a fleet of flying taxis to facilitate transportation for pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrahseasons.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, these cutting-edge Lilium aircraft, known as eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing), will transport pilgrims from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah to hotels in Makkah.
Approximately 100 of these eVTOL aircraft are deployed, revolutionizing travel for pilgrims in the upcoming season.
With a capacity to carry between four to six passengers, these flying taxis promise a convenient and efficient service.
Abdullah Al-Shahrani, Director of Corporate Communications and Spokesman of the Saudia Group, emphasized that the introduction of flying taxis offers an eco-friendly alternative to traditional modes of transportation.

These aircraft boastlow carbonemission rates, marking a significant step towards sustainability in the tourism sector and providing an exceptional travel experience for the guests of Allah.
